Bunches of Bliss...Elevating Events, Designing Details, and Bits of Wedding Sunshine

We had the great pleasure of planning Katie and Giji’s wedding at the Denver Art Museum last August. Their Indian jungle in the city themed event was full of color, life and happiness! They tied the knot in the Sculpture Garden to a string quartet. The ceremony included cultural traditions including the string ceremony and sari ceremony.

A little wedding planner hard at work on a dress right before ceremony!

Katie was a beautiful bride in her dress from The Bridal Collection.

The Denver Art Museum set a contemporary backdrop for this visually stunning event!

Foreign coins were attached to every escort card, and the couple asked to drop their coins in a container to indicate a donation to three of their favorite charities.

The beautiful stationary suite and all signage were created by The Paper Guppy.

The stage was set…we transformed Pointi Hall into an Indian Jungle with the help of Event Rents, The Perfect Petal, and lighting by Fast Lane Productions to project through the leaves of the almost 50 palm trees in the room. The guests applauded when the room was revealed!

The room also featured a 25 foot dessert bar with a four tiered cake and over 900 desserts. It was consumed by guests while entrees were being served!

The guests danced the night away to the tunes of Elite DJ. The saris were stunning, even the bride had a costume change!

Such a beautiful couple and a colorful wedding – we wish Katie and Giji the best in their new life in Texas!

We love the Do-It-Yourself trend! Homemade details and knick-knacks with special meaning for a couple are our FAVORITE. If you’re like us then you’ve probably heard of Etsy?

Etsy is a virtual marketplace for all sorts of handmade goodies. Anyone can start a shop on Etsy and sell art, jewelry, clothes, vintage items and the list goes on. It’s an awesome place to find all sorts of stuff for your home and for your wedding.

What you might not have heard of is the virtual marketplace that is specifically for weddings; Wedzu. Wedzu is like the sister to Etsy made for brides! Designers on Wedzu are dedicated to helping brides make the perfect stationary, bridesmaid’s dresses and invitations.

The editors are awesome and they post fun, new vendors on the blog every few days. You can search different categories like jewelry, honeymoon, beauty and more. Check out these beautiful veils from Sibo Designs! It’s so much fun to browse around… enjoy!

After living in Seattle I just can’t shake my love of all things Nordstrom. I was recently down at the Park Meadows store and discovered the Wedding Suite. The Suite carries a number of lines from different designers with a price range of $160 to $3,300. Plus on top of your gown they can help you with bridesmaid dresses, suits for the men, and accessories.

This dress is by Tadashi Shoji. Just gorgeous and only $548.

This simple textured gown from Nicole Miller is also fabulous!

And my personal favorite …

from Carmen Marc Valvo.
