Found in Ashley Olsen’s shoot with Marie Claire magazine.
Below is the inspiration board that we designed for Nicole and Rocky, who wanted a rich, antique French feel to their wedding. The groom is French, and the couple met while backpacking in Asia. Très romantique! As they tied the knot last Saturday, the photos are imminent, and we will share them as soon as we have them!

As I mentioned previously, I am starting to plan a vow renewal ceremony on Maui, the island that I was born and raised on. I know every beach and many hidden locations to consider for the ceremony location. While searching for new venues, I came across the Haiku Mill website. I have to say, the beauty of this location is amazing! What a romantic, photogenic location – it has already been used for a Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition shoot-

Complete with a bride’s room, catering capabilities, and swing, this location is not the least expensive place to get married on Maui, but may be becoming the most stunning hidden gem!

This wrap literally IS the icing on the cake! An organza confection, this wrap would add a couture feel to any gown. Offered on Etsy by Modern Romance PDX, and perfect for a summer wedding. Or what about the finishing touch on a getaway dress?

Everyone once a while, brides and grooms decide to forgo a videographer for their wedding coverage. Some couples think they don’t need the added expense, the extra vendor, or the man behind the camera asking their guests questions at the reception. However, I am a HUGE advocate for videographers, and I always tell my brides that there is nothing like watch yourself walk down the aisle. The whole day passes you by so quickly, and your photos and video are the only documentation you have of the day.
If you are a bride considering a videographer, this video will push you over the edge. Found by the amazing team at Style Me Pretty, this wedding was shot in Anguilla by the talented team at Elysium Productions, it moved us to tears! I can’t say enough about this example of outstanding work – well done Elysium!

We want to say a special thank you to Boyce and Gewan, who made this video happen. We can’t wait to see the final product. A few thank you’s to the vendors who participated:

A few photos from the shoot:

We are huge fans of La Tartine Gourmande, and these images of Rainier cherries and red currants just took our breath away. We could design an entire wedding around these images. Just so sweet, vibrant, and lovely!

A year ago on July 12th, Kendra and Florent exchanged vows in a 12th century church in Antrain, France. Their reception followed at the castle grounds pictured below! We were lucky to be part of a such a beautiful, bright, and colorful wedding – the details were just perfect! The couple now lives in Manhattan, and are in the process of purchasing a house in upstate New York – we can’t wait to visit!
365 days until Butler Wedding #3
Leave a comment | Filed under Company News Uncategorized brides summer weddingNine years ago today, my husband and I exchanged vows on the campus at Santa Clara University, and had our reception at the Silicon Valley Capitol Club in San Jose. The eight bridesmaids wore ice blue gowns and held light blue hydrangea bouquets.

Five years after that, Scott surprised me with a vow renewal ceremony, just the two of us and a Hawaiian minister on poipu beach on Kauai. Our reception was a sunset dinner for two at the Beach House . I had a tuberose and gardenia bouquet, and Scott wore maile.

For our ten year anniversary, exactly one year from today, we are going to plan a celebration of “Loving Out Loud”. And once again, I am a bride-to-be! Stay tuned for more details, as the planning begins!

If I could pick a decor era to be obsessed with, it would always be the roaring 20’s. This beautiful wedding, shot by Josh Golemen, and discovered on the lovely wedding blog, 100 Layer Cake, brings our 1920’s dreams to life. Enjoy!
