The beautiful Sloane and Kevin are coming to Colorado from the Windy City in June for their big day.  These photos were taken on Market Street at DC Ranch in Scottsdale, Arizona. We can’t wait for their Beaver Creek wedding in June!

These fabulous photos were taken by Marisa of This is Life Photography.

Jim and Kristen’s June wedding had a citrus-inspired color scheme that took full advantage of the sunny skies in Colorado. Their inspiration board sent their vendors into a sunny creative direction.

We love all of the ways color was brought into the day:

They got married at the gorgeous and dramatic Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception.

Who doesn’t love an old Rolls Royce?

We just love this bright and beautiful centerpiece by Babylon Floral.

Bright lanterns adorned the ceiling, and then came down to the floor when it was time to dance.

We love the look of surprise on her face – and the red flower in her hair!

Congratulations, Kristen & Jim!

Keith and Kelly’s jewel-toned, mountaintop wedding took place on August 28th, 2010 at TimberRidge in Keystone. The day started out a little grey, but the bold colors and happiness of the day couldn’t be dampened.

Then the sun broke through just as the couple was saying their vows.

The rich colors and pine created a warm and joyful atmosphere. We love the pine cone place card holders and rustic accents created by Pink Monkey Solutions, captured here by Andrew and Jessica Photography.

Congratulations, Keith & Kelly!

Katie and Troy are the kind of couple that makes you smile just by seeing how in love they are; they certainly made us smile every time we met with them. It’s fitting that they managed to choose the brightest, most beautiful day last summer for their wedding. On August 21, 2010 they shared and celebrated the joy of their relationship with friends and family at the Lakewood Country Club.

Andrew and Jessica did a fantastic job of capturing the light-heartedness of the occasion, expressed in the details of the groomsmens’ converse shoes, the bright citrus-inspired colors for the wedding, and even Kelly’s dogs making an appearance as the bride prepared for her big day.

We absolutely loved the hints of vintage glamour that Kelly added with her gorgeous cage veil and sparkling accessories.

This happy bouquet was put together by Swiss Flower and Gift Cottage.

Blue Moon Cake Design created this whimsical cake, capturing the spirit of the day.

During the reception, flowers felt like they were raining from the sky, thanks to Denver Design Works.

Katie and Troy, we hope the sun keeps shining for you.

A Feast and a Promise awaited guests as they arrived at Pastures of Plenty in Longmont, Colorado for Sarah and Beths’ elegant outdoor wedding on August 7th, 2010.

Our beautiful brides focused on the intricate details of their special day and it turned out extraordinarily.  They chose a chic vintage-country theme that could not have been more appropriate to their unique interests and tastes. Surrounded by a charming country-garden scene, the couple shared their promises with one another among an intimate group of friends and family.

What wedding isn’t complete without a trampoline? Brides and guests jumping for joy.

Their special moments were beautifully captured by This Modern Life Photography.

The Teacup Shop provided a variety of pastries from fruit tarts to delectable cakes for any sweet tooth craving.

As the sun cascaded behind the Colorado mountains, the brides’ chic reception and feast began.   The tent held custom built wooden canopies that were adorned with candle-filled chandeliers and hanging ornaments.  The tables were overflowing with flower arrangements from Sweet Pea Flowers and plates full of mouth-watering food by Big Bang Catering.

Everyone danced into the night enjoying music from Michael Lawrence.

Sitting by an open campfire, guests melted marshmallows and made some tasty smores.

Congratulations Beth and Sarah!

Thank you to all of our wonderful vendors; this was a truly beautiful celebration.

It was an absolute pleasure to bring to life Kristin and Guido’s vision of a wedding that would celebrate the union of their unique cultures.  Joined by their family and friends, our bride and groom were married at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church on August 14, 2010.

Colby Poppleton of Colby Elizabeth Photography did a phenomenal job of capturing this couples love for one another at the beautiful City Park in Denver.  Keeping with their cultural theme,  elegant Italian and American signs were added that quite literally “tied the knot”.

Delicious and gorgeously decorated pastries were provided by Cakes by Karen.

The reception, located at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, was elegantly decorated with candles and lanterns that glowed with Denver’s magnificent city scape in the back ground.  They also provided a photo booth complete with all sorts of goofy props for the guests to enjoy.

Many, many thanks to our wonderful vendors!

So I know the phrase, “Inspiration can be found ANYWHERE!” is super cliche and can even be really frustrating when you reallycan’t seem to find inspiration for a project or problem you’re working on.

Well, the truth of that phrase rang true when I stumbled upon Stina Persson’s site several years ago. A fantastic illustrator based in Stockholm, Stina has provided me with endless motivation when I’m stuck on something. The vivacity and strength of her colors and lines always spur me to get through my rut. Now I am finding the same inspiration from her pieces and applying them to weddings. Wouldn’t her bold colors provide a beautiful palette for a sassy summer soiree?? Go ahead and nod your head… nobody’s watching. ;)  Take a peek at her website the next time you’re stuck and see how you get inspired!
