A Touch of Bliss created a romantic Vail wedding on the Vail Wedding Deck and Arrabelle Hotel. There where Rustic and elegant details. Geodes that were part of the eclectic centerpieces doubled as guest favors. The ceremony overlooked the Vail Mountains on the Vail Wedding Deck, and the words to the couple’s favorite Beatle’s song welcomed them into dinner. They danced into the night at The Arrabelle Tavern!

Special thanks to all the vendors that mades this beautiful Vail wedding happen!

A Touch of Bliss was the wedding planner for Hannah and Brian’s elegant and stylish city wedding, located at the Denver Art Museum. The city of Denver created the perfect backdrop for this couple’s Jewish ceremony, which included a chuppah an ketubah signing. Design Works created romantic vignettes, and there was lots of photo booth fun! The reception was also home to a custom candy bar, with dozens of pom-poms installed by A Touch of Bliss. The dance floor was buzzing with guests, and flip flops were available for ladies with tired feet. The bride’s cake featured sugar flowers, while dentures sat atop the groom’s…Brian happens to be a dentist!

A Touch of Bliss was the wedding planner for Colleen and Jason’s special day in Sedalia, Colorado at the Cherokee Ranch and Castle on May 18, 2013. The couple’s enthusiasm for concerts was displayed through ticket escort cards, which guests retrieved from will call. Additionally, their family and friends danced the night away with music provided by an awesome band. Colleen and Jason lived apart for most of their engagement, so guests enjoyed appetizers from St. Louis (toasted ravioli) and Philly (cheesesteaks).

I’m feeling all fluttery at the thought of feathers for events. They can lighten your atmosphere in a unique way, as long as they’re not overdone. *cue moderation speech again* Feathers are fabulous in your everyday life as well- mix it up with a feather arrangement on your mantle, pair those flowing locks with some feathery extensions or let your inner-Carrie Bradshaw shine with some feathered Manolos.

Now lets get down to the nitty gritty: My inspiration for this weeks post was feather pocket squares and boutonnieres! Challenge the man in your life to this fashion-forward, feathery accessory

(also a less-expensive DIY solution to floral boutonnieres for your next event!)

who needs floral/greenery fillers when you have feathers?

haven’t seen this one in real life yet… talk about creative!

minimalism at its finest! love this lampshade

float&flutter on, my friends.

Hello cute and cheap bridesmaid dresses. Target recently launched a bridesmaid collection that ranges in price from just $35 to $70. Dresses come in a variety of materials and colors so you can mix and match for your ladies. Here are a couple of my favorites.

Women's Scoop Neck Taffeta Dress w/Removable Sash - Assorted Colors

Women's Ruffle Neck Shantung Dress - Fashion Colors

Women's Halter Neck Chiffon Dress - Fashion Colors

The dresses are only available online but that just means ordering several to see which one you like best and returning the others to the store. One of my favorite ways to shop.

At A Touch of Bliss we take inspiration from so many parts of life and often look to fashion trends to find interesting ways to incorporate style into our weddings.  Emerald green has been seen all over the recent runways and was just named as the Pantone 2013 Color of the Year.  As wedding planners, we are always looking for what s new and fresh and we are loving all the ways that this could translate into our arena!  So many people think to incorporate red, silver, blue, and gold into their winter color palettes, but what about a bold splash of dark green?  Here are some of our current sources of emerald inspiration and ways we are so excited that this could be conveyed through wedding details. Enjoy!

The translation to weddings:

A Touch of Bliss executed Andrea and Chris’ intimate mountain wedding at the Torian Plum Plaza in Steamboat Springs, CO on July 21, 2012. Their beautiful story of how they found each other and their love grew in Christ left not a dry eye in the church. They wanted their special day to reflect their down to earth personalities but to still emphasize the incredible significance of joining their lives together. The result was incredibly elegant and simple.

A special thank to all of the vendors who made this memorable day possible!

A Touch of Bliss executed Shelly & Chris’s stunning wedding on October 14, 2011 at the Denver Botanic Gardens. The splashes of vintage and rustic elements created a uniquely romantic atmosphere that made for a one-of-a-kind reception. Thanks to Flourish Studio Photography, we have a beautiful collection of their photographs to illustrate the unfolding of S&C’s big day!

These bold & bright bouquets really popped against the bridesmaids’ dark dresses.

Glamorous weddings will always be in style, but this year couples are finding their inspiration for their big day by simply walking outside and using the nature surrounding them.

This season consider an old rustic barn or a lush meadow and to add a touch of chic-beauty, hang glass chandlers. Warm browns and tans, and all shades of greens with pops of colors are sure to make your wedding both rustic and beautiful!
