How can you tell that two people are in love?

From a stolen glance during a meeting to the slight change in voice when they talk about each other, we at A Touch of Bliss have been lucky enough to experience these small signs of affection a countless number of times throughout the years. Our meeting with bride-to-be and Colorado native, Katie was no different.  Just take a peek at some of our favorite photos pulled from Katie and Troy’s engagement shoot, taken in their hometown of LA, California by the ever-so-talented photography team Andrew & Jessica Photography. Just take one look at these two and feel the love.

We were sent this feature on LIFE magazine online, reviewing how people were married in the past. Here are a few of our favorite pictures from the article:

In 1958, a student tries on a gown for her wedding – doesn’t this look like Kleinfeld’s?

Dancers sprinkle petals on the aisle before a wedding, 1951. And we thought the couple boogeying down the aisle with their wedding party was original!

A bride in 1961. Heaven!

Not only do we love Jason and Gina as world’s most adorable shooting couple, but they have an amazing eye when it comes to capturing that moment. Their “one price” package is simple and sweet for brides and grooms! See more of their work on their website – their images speak for themselves…

We were very lucky to have beautiful weather this last weekend in Colorado for our back-to-back weddings, our brides were beyond happy! The weather was exquisite! But we can’t always be that fortunate! I love this picture that I found on Snippet & Ink of a bride and groom who had a sense of humor about their wedding day weather, their umbrella speaks for them!

This photo, from the “Romeo and Juliet” shoot for Vogue by Annie Lebovitz has been ripped out and pinned to my actual inspiration board in my office since it appeared in the magazine in November of last year. It still inspires me and only reinforces for everyone that photography is art. Remember that a beautiful photo is worth everything, and a good photographer is worth even more!

I love a couple who shoots weddings together, especially newlyweds who understand what the bride and groom want and need. Andrew and Jessica are the perfect example of that couple! Their unexpected, fun eye for weddings and their personalities would make any bride and groom feel at ease in front of the camera. Here are just a few examples of their fresh portfolio:

One of our lovely couples, Brooke and Patrick, who are tying the knot in August just shared these lovely engagement pictures with us. Kim Nordurft captured the couple in their native Denver, can you see the landmarks of the clock tower and Larimer Square in the background? She captured the perfect essence of this couple – all dressed up and everywhere to go!
