On February 19th, Bliss Studios produced Mondo Guerra’s launch the Pozitivity Project at Wilhelmina Denver. The Pozitivity Project is is Mondo’s tribute to the enduring strength and spirit of those living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.  With the goal of reaching a national audience, The Pozitivity Project seeks to challenge the stigmas surrounding the disease by keeping an optimistic focus on life.  Despite all of the negative implications associated with HIV/AIDS, Mondo maintains a vision of collective empowerment – a community of acceptance and joy.

At the forefront was Mondo’s Project Runway challenge-winning textile pattern, which holds deep personal meaning for him. The bold and colorful design, displayed on the Pozitiv-a-Tee’s that the models are wearing, is the culmination of Mondo’s ability to reconcile his difficult past with HIV through the hope for a brighter future.

Guests had the opportunity to get their photo taken wearing the signature tees  in a photo booth provided by Vivid Photography Studio.

The event was hosted at Wilhelmina Denver’s new space.

A portion of the event’s proceeds went to benefit the Colorado AIDS Project, a 28 year-old community based organization that helps those living with HIV/AIDS, and those at risk, to make healthy choices for a self sufficient, enhanced quality of life. CAP provides innovative, individualized services to those most in need, educates high risk populations, and advocates for social and health care equity.

Bliss Studios is teaming up with Wilhelmina Denver, the Colorado AIDS Project (CAP) and Mondo Guerra to launch The Pozitivity Project - Mondo’s tribute to the enduring strength and spirit of those living with and affected by HIV/AIDS on Friday, February 18th. With the goal of reaching a national audience, The Pozitivity Project seeks to challenge the stigmas surrounding the disease by keeping an optimistic focus on life.

In coordination with the launch of The Pozitivity Project, Mondo has designed a t-shirt featuring an oversized print of his challenge-winning textile pattern. The shirts have been playfully dubbed Positiv-a-tees and a portion of each sale will benefit CAP’s continuing mission to provide resources for its members and the community.

The launch will offer Mile-High residents the opportunity to meet Mondo, receive Positiv-a-Tees, and include their voices to the worthwhile campaign. A photo booth, provided by Vivid Photography Studio, will capture guests in their shirts expressing their Pozitivity.

We’re excited about this great event – Please purchase your tickets Here.
