Bunches of Bliss...Elevating Events, Designing Details, and Bits of Wedding Sunshine

The color of the year was announced in January, but with the new season of fall right around the corner, you still have time to be bold and beautiful in emerald. Favorite fashion designers, such as Carolina Herrera, incorporated it into their lines. There are many ways to wear this color and here are just a few of my favorites. Enjoy!

At A Touch of Bliss we take inspiration from so many parts of life and often look to fashion trends to find interesting ways to incorporate style into our weddings.  Emerald green has been seen all over the recent runways and was just named as the Pantone 2013 Color of the Year.  As wedding planners, we are always looking for what s new and fresh and we are loving all the ways that this could translate into our arena!  So many people think to incorporate red, silver, blue, and gold into their winter color palettes, but what about a bold splash of dark green?  Here are some of our current sources of emerald inspiration and ways we are so excited that this could be conveyed through wedding details. Enjoy!

The translation to weddings:

Glamorous weddings will always be in style, but this year couples are finding their inspiration for their big day by simply walking outside and using the nature surrounding them.

This season consider an old rustic barn or a lush meadow and to add a touch of chic-beauty, hang glass chandlers. Warm browns and tans, and all shades of greens with pops of colors are sure to make your wedding both rustic and beautiful!

A Touch of Bliss executed the beautiful union of Jenn & Kyle on June 18, 2012 in
Evergreen, CO.  Thanks to Kerinsa Marie Photography, we have beautiful images to
illustrate the unfolding of their big day!
The officiant, Kyle’s brother, wore a very fashionable purple bow tie and black top hat.
The very fabulous and organized Kerri Butler & Becky Carroll, the wedding planners.
The big Dr. Who fans, Jenn & Kyle, had edible ball-bearings on their cake!
The reception decor included wild flowers in beer growlers from local Colorado breweries.

Look closely – do you recognize this decor item?

That’s right – the bottom of simple soda bottles – how chic they looks here!

They could even be lampshades – lovely!

What a beautiful way to recycle and make your wedding shine ! Way to upcycle!

Here is a sneak peek at the inspiration board for Nicole and Rocky’s Wedding in August. We love this color palette – so rich and fresh! We are so looking forward to their wedding this season!

Worthington Photography shot this amazing Southern wedding of Jill and Todd in Virginia. The crisp palette colors of pear green, summer blues, and white really set the stage for a romantic southern wedding. It gives us such inspiration! Congrats to the Bride and Groom!
