A Touch of Bliss was the wedding planner for Nicole and Justin’s elegant summer wedding on August 4, 2012. The wedding was a tailored romance at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and The Brown Palace in Denver, Colorado.  The couple had a Catholic ceremony with white trees down the aisle that mimicked the centerpieces at the reception.

Pearl and crystal details were everywhere from the trees and flowers to the cake. The escort cards were even trimmed with lace.

At A Touch of Bliss we take inspiration from so many parts of life and often look to fashion trends to find interesting ways to incorporate style into our weddings.  Emerald green has been seen all over the recent runways and was just named as the Pantone 2013 Color of the Year.  As wedding planners, we are always looking for what s new and fresh and we are loving all the ways that this could translate into our arena!  So many people think to incorporate red, silver, blue, and gold into their winter color palettes, but what about a bold splash of dark green?  Here are some of our current sources of emerald inspiration and ways we are so excited that this could be conveyed through wedding details. Enjoy!

The translation to weddings:

A Touch of Bliss executed Carrie and Mark’s wedding September 23, 2012, at the Donovan Pavilion in Vail, Colorado.  During planning, the couple fell in love with an Art Nouveau painting by Austrian Artist Gustav Klimt known as Water Serpents ii.  The piece, featured below, became the central source of inspiration for Carrie and Mark’s fall wedding.  The vibrant colors, sensual emotion, and flowing design of Klimt’s painting translated beautifully into the details of their wedding day.

Here is a glimpse of their amazing wedding day!

The guest book was created by the the Bride’s cousin and was influenced by another of Klimt’s paintings.

Paper cones with the lyrics to the couple’s first song (written in both French and English) held flower petals that guests showered the happy couple with as they walked down the aisle as husband and wife.

The wedding featured a dessert bar with the bride and groom’s favorite homemade goodies.  Each treat was labeled with a credit to the mother, aunt, or cousin who made their specialty for the big day. The dessert bar also offered shots of milk to go with along with all the sweets.

The rustic and vintage details paired beautifully with the summer colors.

A Touch Of Bliss executed Keegan and Brandon’s hot pink and gold themed wedding at The Four Seasons in Denver, Colorado, on May 19, 2012 and it was nothing short of fabulous.  Everything about this event was beautifully over-the-top and extravagant! The couple was married at Holy Ghost Church with a full Catholic Mass.  Then, the newlyweds and their guests celebrated the holy union all night long with specialty bubbling cocktails which they named “Breegans”– a hybrid of the couple’s names!  So much time and attention went into planning each detail, which all came together to create a spectacular wedding.

The bride had her shoes customized with dazzling pink and silver crystals!

Keegan and Brandon’s wedding featured a gate wall of escort cards.  Such a unique and interesting touch!

Their signature bubbling cocktail– the “Breegan!”

What an amazing night! A special thanks to all the vendors who helped make this night so incredible!

Bride’s Alterations: The Wedding Seamstress

Glamorous weddings will always be in style, but this year couples are finding their inspiration for their big day by simply walking outside and using the nature surrounding them.

This season consider an old rustic barn or a lush meadow and to add a touch of chic-beauty, hang glass chandlers. Warm browns and tans, and all shades of greens with pops of colors are sure to make your wedding both rustic and beautiful!
