Nordstrom’s New Wedding Suite comes to Colorado
Leave a comment | Filed under Dress Fashion bridal party brides shoes wedding whiteAfter living in Seattle I just can’t shake my love of all things Nordstrom. I was recently down at the Park Meadows store and discovered the Wedding Suite. The Suite carries a number of lines from different designers with a price range of $160 to $3,300. Plus on top of your gown they can help you with bridesmaid dresses, suits for the men, and accessories.
This dress is by Tadashi Shoji. Just gorgeous and only $548.
This simple textured gown from Nicole Miller is also fabulous!

And my personal favorite …
from Carmen Marc Valvo.

A Princess on Your Wedding Day
Leave a comment | Filed under Fashion accessories blue brides jewelry vendor weddingWrapped up in that little blue box is the new Tiffany Grace collection. The collection features princess-cut and round brilliant diamonds bezel-set in platinum.
The tiara sparkles with an open pattern of circles and squares that would top off a gown with gorgeous.
Tennis champion Maria Sharapova wore these diamond drop earrings from the collection at the 2011 US Open. If only I could wear something like this while exercising- it would make it all worth it!
You can find this beautiful collection at your Tiffany’s store or online!

“A woman truly feels beautiful when she recognizes that she is exquisite the way she already is: a wonderful, unique, and exceptional individual.” – Yuliya Raquel, owner and designer of IGIGI.
I was recently watching a rerun of Say Yes to the Dress: Big Bliss, and couldn’t help feeling so upset for the bride who couldn’t find a dress that fit her properly. It got me to thinking about designers who specialize in dresses for the curvy bride, and I came across Yuliya Raquel’s IGIGI designs which can be found in several stores across the country. Not only does she make everything from everyday wear to bridal gowns, but her designs are SUPER cute and it’s featured on real plus-sized models!
Take a look at what she offers.

There’s an Excuse to Splurge on Louboutin – It’s SCIENCE!
Leave a comment | Filed under Couture Fashion accessories brides chicWhen the big-wig, smart folks over at CNN justify dropping a quick mortgage payment on a pair of Christian Louboutin heels – you better believe that my ears perk up! CNN recently posted an article explaining that the OH.SO.GORGEOUS red-soled shoes aren’t just popular because of their beauty … there’s actually a science behind why women across the world covet their heels!
The article explains, “Behind each trademark red-soled shoe is a feat of custom engineering. ‘The heel is engineering in itself,’ said the sought-after designer in his Paris atelier. ‘This little thing that supports the human weight has to have a precise balance.’”
Umm, BRIDES – for the sake of SCIENCE, get yourself to Barneys and splurge!
The article also goes on to say, “But as long as women continue to covet his designs he maintains that the sky is the limit in terms of what he can design. ‘For me there ain’t no high heel high enough,’” [Louboutin] said.
Touché, Mr. Louboutin, Touché indeed.
Ridiculously Exciting News For Anthro-Lovers!
Leave a comment | Filed under Dress accessories bridesAttention Ladies (and heck, attention Gents too – this is exciting news after all!), hold onto your seats! I’m about to share some information that may cause extreme bouts of enthusiasm, glee and OHMYGOSHIMUSTDOABACKFLIPIMMEDIATELY excitement!
The love bugs over at Anthropologie have done it yet again! Yes, yes, yes – we all swoon over their embroidered cropped-sweaters, get weak knees from their high-wasted skirts … and their darn statement necklaces will make just about any woman light headed. BUT, they’ve recently shifted their attention to a new endeavor. Druuuuuum roooollll:
WEDDING GOWNS and other yummy bridal accessories! I mean, GET. OUT. OF. TOWN. with these gorgeous numbers!
And a word to the wise, pay special attention to their FAB-O hair adornments. My inner glamour-girl would give just about anything to go back in time and rock this at my own wedding:
Happy hunting!
There are a billion perks to our job.
We get to live in a world where tiny, little moments are all that really matter. Saying “I do”, first dances, joyful tears.
We get to plan for a single day that’s completely and entirely committed to the idea of love.
We get to eat cupcakes, play with linens and quite literally “smell the daisies”.
We get to be a part of the creative transformation from any given venue into something that’s completely about YOU. We get to walk into art museums and make them more about your wedding vows than the Picasso’s that hang from the walls. We get to make the history of century-old castles more about the best man’s speech than the kings and queens that once strolled the halls. So, you can imagine how I drooled when I read this article in the New York Times.
I would do cartwheels if a bride came to me requesting that her wedding be in a parking garage! This would be a chance to transform something that’s typically equated to over-priced parking and janky corners to … “cinematic and absolutely dramatic”! I mean, SOLD!
So, brides out there – I’ll leave you with some inspiration in hopes that your creative juices just may lean towards oil stains and concrete as well!
Here’s to making your wedding venue YOU!
