What is a wedding without a little sparkle? We’ve love bubbles, petals, and confetti, but what about sparklers to greet the bride and groom? One of our couples last year danced their first dance surrounded by love and sparks in the dark…

Here are a few more images of brides and grooms making an exciting exit!

We love when couples allow us to think outside the box when it comes to capturing their guests on their wedding. We love the photo frame wall trend, because with a stationed photographer or camera and a carefully constructed backdrop, guests can have their personalities really shine and create a memorable photo book for the bride and groom. A few of our favorites:

When we found this new take on a guest book, we squealed! We are big fans of old fashioned address books, and this version of a guest book is exactly that! Guests can write their special wishes to you on these small cards, and you can find them alphabetically for always. Available in 20 colors for $35.00 from JustWright Boutique on Etsy.

One year ago, we so happy to be a part of Megan and Chris’s beautiful wedding in Lake Tahoe. Their elegant wedding was held at the West Shore Cafe. Details included a custom runner, individual cupcakes for every guest, and candles, candles, candles. The couple now lives in Dallas, Texas with their little dog, Kona, and they are celebrating their one year anniversary in Napa, San Francisco, and Tahoe.

About three months ago, a writer from Marie Claire magazine contacted me when she found my personal blog, to interview me about living and working abroad. I talked to her mostly about working abroad and planning international events, but she was interested the most about my attempt to volunteer in Costa Rica. I didn’t hear another thing about it for months! Then, the October issue arrived in my mailbox, and what did I find? A little quote from yours truly on page 92.

Finding gifts for your out-of-town guests or your wedding party on a budget can be a challenge. We love these Coffee Cozies presented by Wayside Violet on Etsy. At only $12 a piece, they come in so many colors and designs, that can could purchase one in every color!

If I could pick a decade to live in for a day, it would have to be the 1940’s, simply because of the hats (the rich red lipstick would be fun too!). We think weddings are a beautiful reason to wear your biggest, most adorned hat you own. Ribbon? Check. Feathers? Check!

What about an entire bridal party in hats? Wide brims for the ladies and straw fedoras for the gentlemen – lovely! Need a hat? Our favorite millinery is Fleur de Paris on Royal Street in New Orleans.
